I can never accurately explain the connection my daughter has with the living creatures of this world. It's more than a love, more than a passion. It's so far down deep into her very core being that there just are no appropriate words to describe it.
She's only 5, but this little thing is always right there. watching, learning, and growing right along with the pups. She sees each individual one for its uniqueness. She can tell all of them apart by just the sound of their squeaks. She knows their likes and dislikes more than anyone else in the house.
She says Good Morning as she checks in on them first thing in the morning, making sure there are no messes that need cleaning or bowls that need filled. She makes sure to kiss each one Goodknight before getting into bed, even if she has already started to doze off on the couch.
She is always down on the floor next to the gate or even inside the pen, extra gentle and extra soft, talking to each one like she knows exactly what they are saying back to her. She still makes individual time for both Parent pups, and both cats we own. She even makes sure to talk to our fish.
She thrives in this peace. This place her soul has found for happy solace. And as her Mom? I literally could not ask for more.
My heart is just
so full watching her give every bit of her love to all of the animals in our home.
Having the privilege and ability to raise her into this strong independent powerful woman I see blossoming below the surface?
Watching her this happy is one of my greatest bits of bliss.
